Early morning in fall along the Housatonic River in Connecticut, there is ice all over the rocks and a thick fog is nestled down by the banks. Somehow in those conditions between changing temperatures, moist air, and refracted light, the extreme the color of the yellow leaves and purple tones in the rocks are emphasized and heightened.
